Event Series Event Series: “Aiki” Self-Defense

“Aiki” Self-Defense

September 30 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

The “Aiki” Self-Defense program is designed for individuals and families who are looking for practical self-defense techniques that are effective in real-life situations.

Dubbed a “Stun and Run” course, this program teaches you practical techniques that are easy to execute and require minimal effort and strength. These techniques are specifically designed to help you deflect or avoid grabs, strikes, or group attack situations from a standing position. You will be in comfortable workout clothes during the training, ensuring a relaxed and focused learning environment.

Your instructor, John Launius, CH, CPTD, is a highly experienced professional in the field of self-defense. He is a third-degree black belt in Gōjū-ryū (剛柔流) Aikido and holds other black belt degrees in TaeKwonDo, Shotokan, and Judo. With a background as a defense contractor assigned to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other intelligence agencies, John has trained personnel in defensive tactics and other lifesaving and awareness skills. He has certified military and government personnel, police officers, first responders, and civilian organizations in “use of force” policies. As a Certified Consulting Hypnotherapist (CH), he has instructed first responders, law enforcement, and special agents in proven methods of expanding everyday awareness to a heightened level, leading to improved conscious and subconscious perception and elevated personal safety in all situations. You can trust in his expertise and learn from his vast experience to enhance your personal safety in all aspects of life.

Your first class is free.
